FAQ Riiing- Frequently Asked Questions
1. When does the Riiing Sim card and the credit expire?
Sim card and credit will become invalid after not using it for nine months.
2. What currency is the balance announced in.
The currency is always in Euro.
3. When does the charging start?
Charging starts as soon as the number you wanted to call answers. No charging before callback or while waiting for callback.
4. What charging interval do we use?
The charging interval is 60 seconds.
5. Can I receive SMS?
Yes, receiving SMS is possible.
6. Can I send SMS?
Yes, as long as you have at least 3 Euro call credit.
7. Can I dial 0800/0900 (Freephone, Premium Rate) numbers?
No.
8. Does Riiing have a Hotline?
Yes, our Hotline Number is +423-663-099-911. This number is also saved as easy code 094 on the Sim card. For rates, please see our rate table under Hotline.
9. When I try to make a call, I always get an announcement saying: "Call not allowed" (or similar).
The handset you are using only supports menu-based calling. To make a call: Select the menu option ("Call/Anrufen") from the Main or Extras Menu on your handset and enter the number.
10. Where (in which country) is this number located?
+423 is the country code for Liechtenstein.
11. Are calls to easy codes (088, 089, 066) chargeable?
Balance recharge and balance inquiry are free of charge. All other easy codes will be charged.
12. At what rate are easy code calls charged?
For easy code call rates, please see our rate table.
13. Is it possible to access easy codes from a line other than the Riiing Sim (eg. a fixed network) ?
No, this is only possible using the Riiing service.
14. What is the cost of a forwarded call?
Rates you will find in the rate table under call diversion.
15. Is it possible to have the list of partner operators in each country your calling card is working?
No, we cannot publish this list as it changes from time to time. Due to ongoing quality checks it can happen, that we have to block a network.
16. Does my Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola; Bosch etc. handset function with your sim card?
Yes, the SIM works in all current GSM handsets (SIM lock free). Some older handsets require you to make calls using the menu. To make a call: Select the menu option ("Call/Anrufen") from the Main or Extras Menu on you handset and enter the number.
17. Is my number visible for the called person?
Yes, the number is visible by default. Unfortunately it is not possible to guarantee transmission of your number in international networks.
18. Can I hide my number for others?
This can be done by us for a fee of 5 Euros. Send an e-mail with your Riiing number to: customer.service@riiing.com. We will charge 5.- Euro to your call account for this.
19. Can I keep my Number?
International number portability is not possible.
20. Can I make data connections with Riiing?
No, unfortunately this is not possible.
21. I can receive calls, but why do I never get a callback when I'm calling?
Some phones require you to call using the phone menu: Menu based calling.
22. Can I get a detailed statement of costs of my Riiing number?
Yes, it is possible to get a billing statement (costs: € 30,-). Order your billing statement at customer.service@riiing.com
